Welcome to Zero Zero Lab

I’m Andy, the human behind 00l.uk. By day (and often by late night), I’m a tech nerd, father, and medical clinician based in the UK. This site isn’t just a portfolio; it’s my digital workbench. It serves as a living repository for the processes, methods, and occasional “happy accidents” that occur whilst navigating a modern tech lifestyle.
What I Do Here
Zero Zero Lab was born out of a desire to document the “why” behind the “how.” Whether I’m optimising a Proxmox cluster or troubleshooting a WordPress hook, I believe in sharing the process – bugs and all.
My content generally falls into three camps:
- Tech: Deep dives into homelabbing, networking architecture, AI integration, and coding. If it can be self-hosted, scripted, or containerised, I’m probably messing with it.
- Creating: Moving beyond the screen. I share my experiences with 3D printing, from functional prints for the home and lab to the inevitable tinkering required to keep the bed leveled and the extruders humming.
- Lifestyle: The “analog” side of things. Photography, travel, and reviews of the hardware that is actually used on a daily basis.
Why “Zero Zero”?
In the world of networking and code, everything eventually boils down to the binary. But as a dad, I’ve learned that life isn’t always 1s and 0s – it’s about the space in between. This lab is where those two worlds meet.
